Washington has 7.5+ million people, which pales in comparison to California (not only the most populated state on the west coast, but also the nation), yet is bigger than neighboring Oregon. Types of Assisted Living Available in Washington

Washington has a terrific selection of assisted living complexes. They vary in size and amenities offered, with some common features like a dining hall, day-use area, fitness center, library or events center.

Paying for Assisted Living in Washington

Washington is fantastic in the sense that it has not one, two, but four quality programs for helping finance assisted living.

The Medicaid Personal and COPES Program both support residents. Medicaid Personal Care even allows seniors to pick the provider so they do not have to settle on a predefined list of facilities.

The New Freedom Program can also provide funds, and the Community First Choice Program was recently instilled to also give aid to seniors.
